Two years of warming, district by district

Seasonal composites — the median of every cloud-free June–July satellite pass, three summers in a row. Not one lucky day: 16 scenes, 2024 → 2026. Every district is getting hotter.

The pattern: industrial districts heat up to 6× faster than green villa communities. Greenery and reflective surfaces are the difference.

Same city. Same morning. Same sun.

The only thing that changes between these districts is what their surfaces are made of. Dark roofs, asphalt and bare ground store heat; gardens, water and reflective surfaces shed it.

Your roof doesn't have to be on this list

The coolest large roofs in every district have one thing in common: a reflective surface. It's physics, and it's written into Dubai's Al Sa'fat building code.
